The centrifugal pump is the most used pump type in the world. The principle is simple, well-described and thoroughly tested, and the pump is robust, effective and relatively inexpensive to produce.
An increase in the fluid pressure from the pump inlet to its outlet is created when the pump is in operation. This pressure difference drives the fluid through the system or plant. The centrifugal pump creates an increase in pressure by transferring mechanical energy from the motor to the fluid through the rotating impeller. The fluid flows from the inlet to the impeller centre and out along its blades. The centrifugal force hereby increases the fluid velocity and consequently also the kinetic energy is transformed to pressure.

Corde Vertical Multistage Centrifugal Pumps are non-self priming, vertical multistage pumps of inline design, flanged or with victaulic coupling, featuring equally sized suction and discharge ports. The impellers, chambers and pressure casings are produced using stage construction whilst the pump stub and motor shafts of the IEC standard motor are directly close coupled. All pumps are equipped with a cartridge type mechanical seal for easy maintenance.

Grundfos End-Suction Centrifugal pumps are multi-purpose pumps suitable for reliable and cost-effective supply.
The range from Grundfos End-Suction pumps are all single-stage, centrifugal volute pumps with axial suction port, radial discharge port and horizontal shaft. The Grundfos range is powered by a choice of two pumps. The NB pump complies with EN733 standards and is small and compact, saving on space. The NK range is a close-coupled pump and covers a flow of up to 1000 m³/h and 200 kW, assisting easy servicing with the possibility of spacer coupling.
