Centrifugal Pumps

Centrifugal Pumps

The centrifugal pump is the most used pump type in the world. The principle is simple, well-described and thoroughly tested, and the pump is robust, effective and relatively inexpensive to produce.

An increase in the fluid pressure from the pump inlet to its outlet is created when the pump is in operation. This pressure difference drives the fluid through the system or plant. The centrifugal pump creates an increase in pressure by transferring mechanical energy from the motor to the fluid through the rotating impeller. The fluid flows from the inlet to the impeller centre and out along its blades. The centrifugal force hereby increases the fluid velocity and consequently also the kinetic energy is transformed to pressure.

Allied Pumps distributes many different types of centrifugal pumps, including ANSI centrifugal pumps, to suit a wide range of applications in building services, industry, petro-chemical, food and marine uses, with major manufacturers including Griswold, Corde, Grundfos and Ebara.

  • Corde Vertical Multistage Centrifugal Pumps

Corde Vertical Multistage Centrifugal Pumps are non-self priming, vertical multistage pumps of inline design, flanged or with victaulic coupling, featuring equally sized suction and discharge ports. The impellers, chambers and pressure casings are produced using stage construction whilst the pump stub and motor shafts of the IEC standard motor are directly close coupled. All pumps are equipped with a cartridge type mechanical seal for easy maintenance.

To ensure product suitability and efficiency, Corde AV, AVI and AVN pumps are available in multiple pump sizes and numbers of stages.

  • Corde DIN & ISO Back Pullout Centrifugal Pumps

Allied Pumps offer a comprehensive range of Corde horizontal end suction centrifugal pumps that are back pull out in construction and designed in accordance with DIN 24255 and ISO 2858.

Corde DIN & ISO Back Pullout Centrifugal Pumps cover a wide range of heavy duty industrial and commercial applications from marine through to irrigation.

  • Corde End-Suction Centrifugal Pumps

Design: End suction, single stage, horizontal, centrifugal pump; with volute casing and back pull out design.

Back pull out design when coupled using correctly sized spacer coupling or flexible driveshaft facilitates quick and effective pump maintenance without disturbing suction or discharge pipework. Pump is designed with many interchangeable parts across models to maximise design effectiveness, full range of models utilises only four types of shaft and five bearings housings.

    Pumped Liquid:
Thin, clean, non-aggressive and non-explosive liquids.
Liquids should be free from large solid particles and fibres.

    Shaft Seal:
Gland Packing; lantern Ring is used for water sealing and lubrication of packing.
Mechanical Seal: Standard: Alloy-Alloy/Viton with alternative seal construction available on request.

    DIN2332 PN10RF, Optional ANSI B16.5 Class 300lb.

  • Grundfos End-Suction Centrifugal Pumps

Grundfos End-Suction Centrifugal pumps are multi-purpose pumps suitable for reliable and cost-effective supply.

The range from Grundfos End-Suction pumps are all single-stage, centrifugal volute pumps with axial suction port, radial discharge port and horizontal shaft. The Grundfos range is powered by a choice of two pumps. The NB pump complies with EN733 standards and is small and compact, saving on space. The NK range is a close-coupled pump and covers a flow of up to 1000 m³/h and 200 kW, assisting easy servicing with the possibility of spacer coupling.

Available in a number of shaft seal and material variants, Grundfos End-Suction pumps offer unimpeded and leak free flow to a variety of different applications.

  • Grundfos Vertical Multistage Centrifugal Pumps

Grundfos have a broad range of Vertical Multistage Centrifugal pumps to cover a wide range of Industrial and domestic applications.

The basic CR range comes in four different materials; cast iron, two grades of stainless steel and all-titanium and can be applied to almost any industrial solution. It also features eleven flow sizes, capable of producing up to almost 50 bar of pressure and available in a variety of shaft seals, rubber materials and supply voltages.

All Grundfos Vertical Multistage Centrifugal pumps are fitted with a specific Grundfos heavy-duty 2-pole, IEC motor.

  • Griswold ANSI/ASME Centrifugal Pumps

For over 30 years, the Griswold range of ANSI and ASME pumps has seen continuous improvements to meet the demanding needs of the chemical-processing industry.

Engineered for exceptional performance and maximum durability, the Griswold 811 Series of ANSI/ASME Centrifugal Pumps exceed regulatory standards and customer expectations.

With over 30 multiple selections and numerous design options, the Griswold 811 models go the distance in the harshest and most-difficult process fluid applications.
