The Allied Pumps’ Coalescing Plate Oil Separator (CPS) Package combines a moulded polyethylene, fibreglass or stainless steel chamber and high efficiency coalescing plate pack with a range of positive displacement diaphragm pumps and automatic controls to treat run off water containing free oil particles.
The Allied Coalescing Plate Oil Separator is an enhanced gravity separator capable of removing oils and fine solids. The unique patented plate construction and plate material serves to multiply its efficiency in comparison with other gravity based devices.
Oily water influent is either pumped or flows into the inlet chamber under gravity. The heavy solids then settle out and the 100% oil slugs rise immediately to the surface. The remaining oily water mixture flows through the plates and both the smaller oil droplets and fine solids are progressively separated. Downstream a baffle or oil dam prevents the collected oil from entering the outlet weir. Maintenance of the CPS separator is simple and can be carried out ‘in-house’.
The Coalescing Plate Technology efficiency far exceeds that of a settling tank or conventional plate separator systems. The plate packs remove oil droplets 20 microns or smaller, compared to 60 microns for conventional plate separators with 3/4" spacing and 120 microns for standard API tanks. This enables the separator to reduce effluent free oil content to levels of less than 15ppm over a wide range of influent conditions.

The Allied Pumps’ Coalescing Plate Separator is an enhanced gravity separator capable of removing oils and fine solids. Typical installations would include a large silt trap or ‘bogout’ prior to the separator to handle heavy silt loadings.

For applications requiring a higher degree of treatment than what would be achieved through a conventional gravity based separation system, the Allied Pumps’ Polishing Filter in conjunction with an Allied Pumps’ Coalescing Plate Separator, removes emulsified and solubilised oil and fuel in an effective and efficient manner.
The Allied Pumps’ Polishing filter is unique in its ability to effectively capture free oil, emulsified oil and water soluble oil & fuels from water, and work in conjunction with an Allied Coalescing Plate Separator to achieve optimum quality of water.
The filter modules are hydrophobic and have an indefinite shelf life, as they will allow clean water to pass through the filters without any effect, and will only become active as water contaminated with hydrocarbon come into contact with the filter. The hydrocarbon becomes chemically permanently bonded to the filter, thus the filters will in essence, process storm water or clean bilge water without shortening the filter life and remain as a sentinel awaiting hydrocarbon contaminants.

The Allied Pumps Grease Muncher combines the conventional underflow grease arrestor design with a special Biofilter which dramatically reduces the grease content of the discharge through microbiological activity.
The Grease Muncher is a lightweight compact grease arrestor ideally suited for installation in both existing and new developments, particularly where conventional concrete grease arrestors are not practical or desirable. They can also be used for temporary installations or where relocation at a later date may be required.
Designed in the United States, the Biofilter has undergone extensive field trials in Australia and has been widely accepted by Australian Water Authorities.

Tests have shown a reduction in grease and total suspended solids of 50-90% and BOD reduction of up to 45%. Final wastewater quality is dependent on the influent quality and flow rate.

Unchecked companies risk authority non-compliance and expensive repairs to sewer lines, pump stations and treatment plants due to their failure in maintaining the quality wastewater standards.
Allied Pumps Trade Waste Lint Filter Systems are offered in a complete package configuration, including pit, cover, internals, pipe connection and accessories to simplify installation and climate potential for site assembly error.
The Trade Waste Lint Filter System is designed to help improve the quality of the effluent containing the A300 Bio-Filter which has proven to separate the solids as well as reducing BOD in wastewater before being discharged.
The A300 filter removes up to 90% of the solids from the effluent. All solids greater than 0.79mm are removed. Each A300 filter can handle flows of up to 10,000 litres per day. Multiple filters may also be installed in manifolds to achieve larger flow.
