Here at Allied Pumps we offer two generic types of control – Fixed Speed Systems and Variable Speed Systems. Single or multiple pump units can be combined with pressure tanks, valves, gauges, pressure and flow monitoring equipment and many different filtration and treatment options – all mounted on a common frame with interconnecting pipework, manifolds, terminating in a single suction and discharge point for ease of connection.
The pump management unit is built around the Hydrokos control system.
The Hydrokos Controller starts and stops pumps according to information collected from the pressure transducer and compares this to a reference set point programmed into the Hydrokos menu setting. The controller maintains the system pressure at the set point by varying the speed of the VFD pump and switching other pumps on & off. When the system detects no flow it will shut down until the pressure drops below a restart point.
The Hydrokos logic reduces running costs by ensuring pumps run as efficiently as possible and are shut down when not required. It has a user friendly menu that allows adjustments to be made easily to any pump application thus saving on potentially costly service calls when setting changes are required.
Options can be requested to meet many applications, including specific site requirements such as remote communication, environmental considerations and fault monitoring and reporting. The Hydrokos offers full telemetry outputs for simple integration into central control applications.
Allied Pumps' Hydrostatic Pressure Test Units are the answer to the pressure testing requirements of the plumbing and fire services industries. Designed to test the integrity of existing and new pipework installations, the test system saves significant time and effort associated with common hand operated pressure test pumps.
OPERATION Mains water is directed through the test unit into the pipework installation. When pipework has reached mains pressure, piston pump is turned on, which boosts pressure to an adjustable setting up to a maximum of 3450kpa.
An adjustable pressure relief valve fitted to the system is used to control maximum pressure to avoid system damage by over pressurising.
Allied Pump's Packaged Hot Water Circulating Systems are a range of automated twin pump packages designed to reduce energy consumption and ensure consistent hot water supply. Significant reduction in overall costs is achieved by simplifying site installation and eliminating the need to coordinate various trades.
Complete package incorporates pumps on a base with all inter-connecting pipework, valves, sensors and associated components. The pre-tested package ensures component compatibility and eliminates the possibility of incorrect installation.
In instances where site limitations preclude the use of a complete package, Allied Pumps offers a pump system compromising of dual pumps with unions, cord and plug and Thermakos Controller.
Options available for Packaged Hot Water Circulation System as described above, includes all components - pumps, valves and controls located inside a heavy duty lockable metal weatherproof enclosure.

VARIABLE SPEED PRESSURE SYSTEM:
Ultimate performance is obtained by utilising the concept of varying the speed of one or more pump units to produce a constant, non-pulsating system pressure, highly responsive to varying flow requirements. A dedicated process controller operates in conjunction with a digital frequency converter to vary the speed of the lead pump and cut in the other pumps relative to the signal from the pressure transducer.
This concept allows improved hydraulic efficiency, lower power consumption, reduced cycling and accurate tracking of system demand. Other features include friction loss compensation, remote status and fault monitoring and multiple set point selection.
FIXED SPEED PRESSURE SYSTEM:
In their simplest form, these consist of one or more pumps with cascade pressure switch control. The system can be further enhanced by a dedicated pump controller and pressure transducer with multiple-pump capability. Units are factory tested and operating parameters pre-set prior to delivery.
WATER TRANSFER SYSTEMS:
Transfer of potable water for tank fill applications. Tank fill can be by electrical or hydraulic activation. Typical applications are:

WATER SUPPLY & PRESSURE SYSTEM OPTIONS:
There are many filtration and treatment options available that can be built into pressure systems where water quality is not acceptable or requires improvement. These options include sediment filters, UV filters and water softeners.
Thermakos Controller is designed to provide advanced control management for the ALLIED PUMPS Hot Water Circulation Pump System. The answer to every circulation pump application, the Thermakos smart technology ensures precise temperature control, user-friendly function and an overall cost saving.
The Hydrokos 15 Variable Speed Pressure System Controller is an intelligent control system that incorporates output pressure control for 1 to 6 pumps, typically in the range of 0.37 – 75kW ratings per pump.
The smart controller (integral visual display) allows for online tuning of the parameters of the system and provides a clear visual display of the current status of the system, incorporating boost, low flow and low level functionality for added equipment protection.
The system also allows for easy interrogation of historical alarms, trends and the remote Modbus/TCP BMS communications as required.
The ability to control up to 6 pumps of various sizes in a similar configuration and control arrangement from various sizes ensures reliability and consistency in design and implementation between installations.
The system can also incorporate up to two Ultraviolet filters with integral control arrangements, and can take feedback inputs from two in line upright filters to indicate system faults.
